I didn’t write this, I wish I had, someone who signs himself as “Shakefellow” did. It is quite elegant in a very simple, understated way.
We are separated by our belief systems.
Some of us believe hard work, education, ethics, and morality should rule our world. Other’s believe they are entitled to a free ride. They should be able to smoke, drink excessively, take drugs, eat themselves into obesity and then when the inevitable happens, and they become ill, those of us who didn’t make those choices should have to pay for their healthcare. We should also pay for their choice not to use birth control measures even though it’s free in most states.
Personal responsibility is a new fail.
Crime is on the rise and violence is the norm rather than unusual. Americans are buying guns at a record rate and all this is because of the devisive rhetoric in our political system. I want to hear more speeches about American’s working together to keep America great.
I want to hear about all of us wanted criminals kept from crossing our borders. I want to hear about the goverment cutting back on the lavish lifestyles in Washington, which is now one of the wealthiest cities in America.
Don’t worry about private industry getting rich, worry about our government workers getting rich on our taxes. We need infrastructure work, etc but instead Washington just gets richer.
They all just got raises and President Obama signed that knowing that millions of Americans dont have jobs. I could go on and on but I’m sure there are those on this blog who realize all this just as much as I do.
