About Jim G.

I truely believe that what should matter most in life is how you see yourself, not how someone else tries to convince you to see yourself. *****Life is not about "finding yourself"*****its about creating yourself.!!!!! I write and post things here because I like to think I am contributing some things of value to my world. Some times a little humor, some times things with a more serious tone, but hopefully always in good taste. If what I post occasionally bites a politician in the ass, all the better :>)

  1. Please can you take this post down. I’m so frustrated seeing it repeated time and again. It’s telling people not to give to good charities and encouraging donations to some charities that are far less effective. It’s really wrong to propagate a lie that hurts people in need, wouldn’t you say?

I will be happy to take it down and post a corrected revision if you can show me a reference, that is credible, with different information that can be verified. Otherwise I have to believe you are employed by, or are a beneficiary of one or more of the offending organizations. I know that ‘Snopes’ has its own agenda to fulfill.

Knowing how much of your donation actually goes to help the needy is useful information. Unfortunately, the above is both outdated and wrong. See here for a critic of this graph:
